Master Bedroom Re-Do

This project was really inspired by thenester.com.
Below are pictures of my new bedroom. I really don't think that the pictures do it justice. However, I now know that I really need to get rid of the rug by the bed and replace it with something that actually matches just a little bit better. I will also be making another panel for the window by the dresser.
So, just ignore the dust under the dresser :) and the wires from my husband's fire-pager. ...Oh!...and ignore the shopping bags on the floor by the bed. I tried to crop them out with the camera.
Something you should know about the curtains...! They are window "mistreatments" inspired by thenester.com. I can't sew. These were hot-glued. And I am quite pleased! I will never buy curtains again!
The plates came from TJ Maxx for a wopping $2.99, and I just repainted the night-stand, and shutters above the bed. The fabric for the curtains came from Hobby Lobby. 30% off! And, the mirror, the lamps, and the brown pillows came from Kirklands. The "blue-green-can't describe the color" pillow on the bed came from TJ Maxx. I'm going back to get another one today!
The first picture is the "BEFORE" picture!
Comment below and tell me what you think of the room!
Oh, and I know I use too many of these !!!!!!! :)

Sewing is so easy, you'd be great at it. Just takes some practice and patience. :)

  7. I love your redo, especially the color scheme. Your room looks so relaxing and put together. BTW, I love the graphic quilt in the original pic that is laying across the foot of the bed. Really caught my eye. And, is there anything hot glue can't do? lol
