Sassy-britches!

Anyone an expert on the behavior, or ATTITUDE I should say, of "almost-3-year-old" little girls?
From what I hear from other parents/grandparents of these little DIVAS, it seems that this stage of life is full of..."sass." Not to mention, drama. So, besides the fact that my little one feels like she can fuss at me... pointing and shaking her finger at me and saying, "You be nice," and be demanding... "Mommy, get me out of the bathtub RIGHT NOW,"...life is just peachy.
However, you absolutely CAN NOT give me a million bucks for last Saturday morning, when she woke up, looked at me, and said, "Momma, her baby is hungry." I laughed, and then asked, "Well, what would my baby like to eat?" -And she says, "Her baby wants pancakes."
And what do you do when the "Queen of England" wants a pancake? You make a pancake. :)

Caroline's Cowgirl Birthday Party!

So here are the invitations for Caroline's birthday. After I printed these out, I added hot-pink glitter to the "C" at the top of the invitation. So cute!
Can't wait until the big day!

LizBeth Photography

If you've noticed the adorable pictures of my little sweetheart on this blog, then you've noticed the work of Lauren Bolton of "LizBeth Photography." She's an up-and-coming professional photographer (a senior in high school this year), and is already being booked to photograph fellow classmates for senior portrait sessions. I am so impressed with her portfolio. She came out and photographed my little girl for her 3-year-old portraits. Congratulations, Lauren, on your new photography business!
Here is one of my favorites from the session!

I'm back!

So, you thought I disappeared from the blogging world, huh? Well, I'm back now. Life's been busy, as usual. We hosted my mom's birthday party in January. So much fun, by the way! It was disco-themed. My house turned into "The Foundry," which is the disco hall in Thibodaux, LA where my dad and mom first met each other. awwww!!!
Super fun! We had a REAL disco ball in the living room, and lots of decorations, courtesy of Party City, and my crazy sisters and brothers (and me and my husband of course) purchased afros and 70s shag wigs. We really set the mood, I have to say! It was a fun night. A little too fun. And check out the cake! "Cakes by Audrey" is awesome! Thanks Audrey, once again for a fabulous cake! For food, it was chinese take-out...one of my mom's favorites. I've posted pictures of the party below. See for yourself how fun this party was!
